Luxe South African Safari + Victoria Falls and Botswana’s Chobe River House Boat

On arrival at Johannesburg OR Tambo International Airport, you will be met and assisted by our Representative. Canadian and American passport holders don’t need a visa to enter South Africa. Tourist Visa is needed for your trip to Victoria Falls Zimbabwe, but it is purchased upon arrival in Victoria Falls. Other Nationalities consult your local consulate. The Johannesburg hotel is located at the airport within walking distance from the airport terminal buildings.

Early breakfast at your Hotel:

• Depart early in the morning by shuttle bus transfer to Karongwe Private Reserve.
• Arrive on time for lunch.
• Relax and freshen up, then depart for an afternoon safari game drive.
• Return to your lodge by sunset.

Private reserves offer excellent game viewing opportunities, smaller hosted accommodation and game drives. Optional Domestic Flight Transfer Option: Fly from Johannesburg to Hoedspruit, then a 45-minute transfer by road to the Game Lodge Price available upon request.

Early morning coffee/tea in the lobby:

• Depart for an early morning safari game drive.
• Return to the lodge for breakfast.
• Lunch and relax time.
• Afternoon safari game drive, returning to the lodge by sunset.

Game Drives are conducted by Professional Guides and Trackers who will ensure your African Safari experience is unparalleled, the success rate for Game viewing at this Lodge is very good. Private reserves offer excellent game viewing opportunities, smaller hosted accommodation and game drives.

Today enjoy early morning and afternoon safari game drives. In between game drives enjoy the relaxed ambiance of the lodge with its lush indigenous garden, lounges with internet facilities, bar, and swimming pool. Traversing over 9000 hectares of supreme and diverse vegetation, with its three perennial rivers and huge Jackalberry and Leadwood trees, Shiduli is home to the Big 5 and a wealth of other smaller creatures and bird species.

Early morning breakfast and check out. Transfer to Nelspruit Airport for scheduled flight to Victoria Falls. On arrival you will be met and assisted with your transfer to your hotel.

After breakfast, depart for your tour of the Falls. The Victoria Falls were named after the British Queen Victoria, and they are the largest falls in the world. The falls are twice the height of Niagara Falls in North America and share borders with Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Depart from your Victoria Falls Hotel approximate by 07:30 am and transfer to the Kazungula Zimbabwe Border Post for your crossing into Botswana. You need to bring your passports with you.
The transfer takes approximately one hour. Upon arrival at the Zimbabwe border post, you will pass through the Customs and Immigration where your passport will be stamped and drive 1km up to the Botswana border post.
At the Botswana border, you will be given an Immigration Form which you will need to complete before going to the Immigration counter with your passport. Once your passport has been stamped, you will return to the vehicle to continue into Botswana. Transfer to your Chobe River House Boat. Chobe Princess has thirteen comfortable contemporary rooms with large windows offering your private view onto the beautiful landscapes. Cabins feature air-condition, ensuite bathroom & hairdryer, electronic safe, robe & sleepers.
On the upper entertainment deck, a spacious lounge and bar area encourages you to take time out while there's also a plunge pool that's perfect for a refreshing dip. Includes all meals, soft drinks, mineral water, coffee, tea, and local beer & wine throughout your stay. Breakfast is Buffet Lunch and Dinner are set menus with a single option. Later join on an afternoon river safari. Overnight Chobe River.

Water-based Game Viewing and bird watching on tender boats, a land-based cultural tour of a local village; Tiger & bream fishing in a season (tiger fishing strictly catches and release). Included: rods, lures, lines & reels. With only a small number of guests per boat staying at Chobe Princesses is like being on your very own houseboat. Meals dress code is smart casual. Day starts early around 06:00 am with tea and coffee in the upper deck; early mornings are perfect for fishing or birding excursions. Later after breakfast you can continue with a visit to a local village followed by safari river boat. Experience an intimate river Safari as you drift down the Chobe River and spot incredible wildlife scenes. Chobe’s river front is home to largest concentrations of wild elephants.
