Itinerary

Board your International flight to Tanzania; we offer departures from most major Cities within the USA and Canada.

You need a valid Canadian or American passport with at least six to eight blank side pages. If there is insufficient space in the passport, you will be denied boarding. Your passport should expire six months after your intended Return date; Even a day difference will deny you boarding.

Arrival in Tanzania at Kilimanjaro International Airport.

Canadian and American Passport holders need to present a Tourist Visa, which you obtain on line prior to departure: www.immigration.go.tz.
You will also need a yellow fever vaccination certificate. After clearing customs and immigration, our Representative will meet you and assist you with transfer to your Hotel in the Town of Arusha, approximately an hour away.

Forest hill Lodge or Similar

No Meals

Morning at leisure with safari briefing followed by lunch. In the afternoon, join seat in vehicle safari and depart Arusha passing through the Masai Steppe filled with many picturesque African villages as well as maize, coffee and banana plantations. At the town of Makuyuni continue to Lake Burunge on the western edge of Tarangire National Park Gate. Here your lodge is located on the shores of the lake adjacent to the park.

Arrive for dinner and overnight.

Lake Burunge Safari Camp or Similar

Morning board your safari vehicle for game viewing within the park in search of its large lion prides and elephant herds. Drive through the baobab tree-lined park and explore the unique Silale swamps of Tarangire. Return to your camp for lunch.

Afternoon drive north through the park and to the town of Makuyuni where you continue the journey through a scenic escarpment that brings you to your lodge, perched on the edge of the Rift Valley with stunning views over the distant Lake Manyara.

After breakfast, a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park and return to the camp for lunch. Leaving Lake Manyara behind, the journey continues northwest across the stunning hilly countryside of the highlands, filled with wheat and coffee plantations, and then into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. From here lie the vast plains of the Serengeti, where you begin spotting wildlife as you approach the entrance gate. Complete the formalities and enter the park with game viewing en route to the camp arriving for dinner.

Today enjoy early morning and afternoon game drives in Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is one of the oldest and most beautiful ecosystems in Africa and is one of the best wildlife sanctuaries in the world. The park boasts more than two million wildebeest, half a million Thomson's gazelle, and a quarter of a million zebra. Animals that you can also watch out for are - lions, leopards, elephants, rhino, hippo, giraffes, baboons and wild dogs.

After breakfast depart for Ngorongoro viewing wildlife across the vast Serengeti plains, stopping off en route for your picnic lunch. You then continue your journey towards Ngorongoro where you pass along the rim of the crater and descend to the park gate and your lodge located in Karatu surrounded by farmland and a view of the backwall of the crater.

A highlight awaits you this morning as you depart to explore what is commonly referred to as the World's largest wildlife zoo. After breakfast, you descend with a picnic lunch through the early morning mists and 2,000 feet into the crater. Ngorongoro Crater is the World's largest intact volcanic caldera.

Due to its size and diversity, the crater floor is comprised of several distinct areas, ranging from forest, swamps, lakes, and springs, to open grassland and some sandy dunes. It's an excellent wildlife experience. Lunch is served near a small lake filled with hippos.

Depart Ngorongoro Crater after breakfast and head southeast past the highlands and the Karatu district, Lake Manyara, and Mto wa Mbu Village. You will view the scenic wheat plains and coffee plantations here before journeying down the spectacular escarpment turning south onto the main road to Arusha. The journey will pass through the Masai Steppe, filled with many picturesque African villages and maize, coffee, and banana plantations. On arrival in Arusha, lunch is provided, followed by a transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport to connect with your departure flights.

Overall it was a trip that we will never forget!

We had an amazing time! Arriving to Nairobi, we were welcomed at the airport and taken to our hotel. The hotel was very nice and modern. The next morning we drove to Amboseli. Our driver was very friendly and knowledgeable when it came to animals. We enjoyed the drives a lot.

We had a good time. Our drivers Hasan in Tanzania and Jacob in Kenya were nice and helpful. All the accommodations and transport were good. Food was good in all the places. There was delay in the flight from Chicago, hence they gave us seat in United and flew directly to Paris.

The trip was amazing! The lodges, food, people and guides were exceptional. No bad experiences at all, except I checked my luggage on the trip back from Zanzibar-Nairobi-Paris-Montreal and it got lost, but even that has not upset me, I enjoyed Africa so much!
